Community Guidelines
Last updated 29 May 2026
These guidelines describe how we expect members to behave on ThaiSparks. By using the service, you agree to follow them. We may warn, restrict, suspend or remove accounts that don't. Appeals go to [email protected].
These guidelines form part of your agreement with us under our Terms of Use.
ThaiSparks does not interview, screen, or vet members, and is a self-managed community — you are responsible for how you interact with other members and you do so at your own discretion. We do not facilitate or encourage meeting other members in person.
Not allowed anywhere on the service
- Hate — slurs, harassment, or content targeting people for their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
- Violence or threats — disturbing or graphic content, threats of harm, glorifying violence.
- Non-consensual intimate images — sharing intimate, nude, or sexually explicit images or videos of any person without their explicit consent, including content of an ex-partner or someone you matched with. This is a serious criminal offence and an immediate-removal violation here.
- Sexual services — soliciting, advertising, or paying for sexual services.
- Minors — uploading or sharing photos of anyone under 18, even your own children. Profile photos must be of you and only you.
- Multiple users on one account — couples, friends, or any shared accounts. One person per profile.
- Multiple accounts per person — one account per real person. If you delete and re-create to evade a restriction, both accounts go.
- Bots and automation — using scripts to send messages, swipe, scrape profiles, or otherwise interact with the service automatically.
- Advertising or commercial activity — promoting products, services, events, OnlyFans, Telegram channels, affiliate links, or any commercial offering.
- Begging or solicitation — asking for money, gifts, sponsorship, or financial assistance from other members.
- Impersonation — pretending to be someone you are not, including celebrities, politicians, or other members.
- Politically or religiously divisive content — campaigning material, religious proselytising, or content clearly designed to incite division on religious or political grounds. Mentioning your own beliefs in your bio is fine; using the service as a political or religious soapbox is not.
Profile photos
Your profile photos are public. They must:
- Be of you and only you. Group photos where it's unclear which person you are will be removed.
- Clearly show your face. No masks, sunglasses on every photo, or heavy filters that obscure your features.
- Contain no minors. Even with their consent or as your own child. If a minor appears in any photo, the photo is removed.
- Contain no nudity, sexual acts, or sexually suggestive content (including implied).
- Not promote drug use, violence, weapons, or hate symbols.
- Not be commercial — no product placement, brand uniforms used as advertising, event flyers.
- Not be AI-generated or heavily edited to misrepresent how you look. Light filters are fine; deepfakes and full-face AI swaps are not.
- Use photos you have the right to use. Don't upload someone else's photos.
- Comply with local laws and reasonable community standards.
Private messages and photos
Messages you send are private between you and the recipient, but our moderators may review them if a member reports you. You may be banned for what you send in private if it violates these guidelines.
- No impersonation, no commercial promotion, no minors. Same rules as profile content.
- No sensitive personal information — don't ask for or send home address, ID documents, passport scans, bank details, or other sensitive data.
- Send photos the recipient is likely to want. Unsolicited explicit photos may get your account banned even if the recipient never reports them — moderators see them too.
- No text-only photos. If you have something to say, send a message.
Messaging behaviour
- Be polite. The first message is the easiest to get a reply when it's friendly and not a wall of text.
- If someone doesn't reply, or stops replying, move on. Don't create alternate accounts to keep contacting them — that gets both accounts banned.
- Don't pressure other members to move to another app (WhatsApp, Line, Telegram) in the first few messages. Scammers do this to escape moderation.
- Don't ask for personal information (real name, employer, address, financial details).
Profile text
Your bio, prompts, and answers must:
- Say something about you, not what you don't want. ("I love hiking" beats "no time-wasters".)
- Not contain contact information (phone, email, social-media handles). Spammers harvest these.
- Not slander other members or other dating services.
- Comply with local laws and reasonable community standards.
Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)
Demo Labs Pty Ltd (Melbourne, Australia), the operator of ThaiSparks, has a zero-tolerance policy for any content, behaviour, or activity involving child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or the exploitation of minors.
- If you encounter a profile, photo, message, or link involving CSAE on ThaiSparks, report it immediately using the "Report Profile" or "Report Message" option. Even if the user has since deleted their account, email us at [email protected] with whatever details you have (username, conversation, screenshots).
- We use automated detection together with trained human moderators. Every flagged case is reviewed by a human before action.
- Confirmed CSAE results in immediate account removal and reporting to relevant authorities, including law enforcement and child protection organisations.
- If you or someone you know is in danger, contact your local law enforcement, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, or the Internet Watch Foundation.
How we enforce these guidelines
Most violations are handled by a moderator after a member report. The actions we may take, in rough order of severity:
- Warning — a one-time note explaining what we removed and why.
- Content removal — taking down a photo, message, or bio that violates the rules. Your account stays.
- Feature restriction — temporarily disabling a feature (e.g. messaging) while we investigate.
- Suspension — temporary lockout, usually pending more information.
- Permanent removal — for serious or repeated violations. You lose access to the service and any active subscription does not transfer or refund.
Restrict, suspend, and remove decisions are always reviewed by a human moderator before they take effect. We don't auto-ban based on algorithms alone.
Appeals
If you believe we've taken action against your account by mistake, email [email protected] with your username and a brief explanation. We aim to reply within two business days. We don't reverse actions involving CSAE, threats of violence, or repeat offenders.
Changes to these guidelines
We may update these guidelines as the service evolves and as we learn from new patterns of abuse. Material changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance by email and in-app notice. Continuing to use ThaiSparks after a change takes effect means you accept the updated guidelines.
